52 Library Card Uses
Attend preschool story time with your child. Number 18 in a series of uses for your library card.
Of all the special times with children perhaps none is sweeter than time spent reading together.
It’s a pleasure that parents enjoy almost as much as their children do - a new book is a discovery for both.
Libraries can play an important role in helping children develop their love of reading. Our skilled and trained staff excel at selecting books suitable for readers at all levels. They are also trained to use techniques that encourage reading readiness in young children. When you attend a story time, your child will be introduced to good books, age appropriate games and crafts. Because it's fun, story time makes the reading experience one they will want to repeat again and again. Story time is also a building block to helping your child be a successful reader.
Check the library events page to find out what programming is scheduled at your local Great River Regional Library location, or talk with the staff at your local library to learn more about story times and other programs.
We love to have you visit!
