52 Library Card Uses
Find a Recipe. Number 33 in a series of uses for your library card.
Whether you enjoy spicy Indian, traditional American, country comfort or gluten free, you have to eat!
If you're getting tired of the same old dishes, if you want to extend your palette, if you want to try to replicate a meal you ate at some other table, visit the library and take home something tempting. Recipes don't go out of date, so Great River Regional Library's collection of cook books keeps growing.
You can find traditional French sources such as La Bonne Cuisine de Madame E. Saint Ange: The original companion for French home cooking, and you'll find more recent interpretations, such as Barefoot In Paris: Easy French food you can make at home by Ina Garten. We've got Betty Crocker's Mexican Made Easy, and we also have Authentic Mexican: Regional cooking from the heart of Mexico by Top Chef Masters winner Rick Bayless. We have more than 200 titles on vegetarian cooking alone, and other recipe books focused on breads, pastries, cookies, salads, fish and other specialties.
We've got 30-minute recipes, low-cal recipes, and then there are some that will put pounds on your hips!
There aren't many things more satisfying than a well-cooked meal.
Find your next recipe at the library and check it out!
