New Branch Manager Arrives at Albany Library
Michelle Goebel is the new Branch Manager of the Albany Public Library..
Goebel has worked at Great River Regional Library branches in Royalton, St. Cloud and Waite Park. She has been involved in libraries since she was a teenager when she volunteered in her church library.

Artist begins work on Albany Public Library mural
Local artist Lisa Nicoll began painting the mural at the Albany Public Library on July 20. Work is progressing quickly, and she expects to have it completed in August. The painting is worked on before and during library open hours. Patrons have enjoyed watching Nicoll paint as well as discussing the mural with her.

This summer a mural will be painted at the Albany Public Library. Local artist Lisa Nicoll needs the assistance of children who use the library to help create some three-dimensional parts for the mural. These parts will be made from old books.
