Original watercolor paintings by area artists who belong to "Creating Art Together" (C.A.T), an area artists group from New London Minnesota, are now on display at the Paynesville Public Library. Read more »
New board officers and members have been elected to the Board of Trustees governing the affairs of Great River Regional Library, which provides library services at 32 public libraries in Central Minnesota.

GRRL~Upsala hosted two Guthrie Theatre acting classes in March. Both Acting Games For Beginners and Duke It Out Combat Techniques were quickly filled with eager actors. Great River Regional Library (GRRL) has two new reference librarians: Lisa Motschke and Elizabeth Nummela. They will provide reference service to all 32 branches of Great River Regional Library (GRRL), and will provide assistance at the Information desk at the St. Cloud Public Library. Read more »
Great River Regional Library (GRRL) usage saw major increases in 2009:
Checkout sessions increased 15 percent compared to 2008,
Items checked out (total circulation) also increased 15 percent.
The increases continue the upward trend of GRRL library use, which has seen total circulation soar by 41 percent since 2004, from 2.9 million in 2004 to 4.1 million in 2009. Read more »
