Annandale Friends of the Library will be hosting an author dinner featuring Minnesota award-winning author Julie Kramer at Reichel’s Event Center in Annandale on Friday, May 20. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Dinner will include orange glazed chicken breast, garlic mashed potatoes, strawberry almond salad, pickles, rolls, assorted bars and a beverage. Read more »
Politicians from both major parties are hosting Town Hall meetings at the St. Cloud Public Library on Saturday, March 19.
Democrat Representative Larry Hosch of St. Joseph will host a meeting from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. He’ll be joined by House Minority Leader Paul Thissen and Senator Scott Dibble. Read more »
Teens ages 13 - 18 are welcome to submit up to two entries to the Little Falls Carnegie Library's Teen Poetry Contest in April.
Stop by the library to pick up entry forms and submit entries April 1 through April 30. Entries must be original work! All entries will be posted (with permission) and prizes awarded to the top three as selected by local educators/librarians. Read more »
The Building It Together committee invites you to attend the Grand Opening of the St. Michael City Center on Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event celebrates the opening of the new St. Michael – Albertville – Hanover Library, the Crow River Senior Center, city hall offices and public meeting rooms. Great River Regional Library (GRRL) joined some St. Cloud area institutions and familiar names in the St. Cloud Times online survey for “Best of Central Minnesota.” GRRL placed third in the categories of “Place to Buy Books” and “Under 21 Venue.” About 4,600 ballots were cast, according to the Times story. The St. Michael Friends of the Library will have its annual Spring Book Sale on Saturday, March 19, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the St. Michael City Center Council Chambers. Hundreds of books will be available including paperbacks, hard covers, children’s books, videos and DVDs. Read more »
