Gingerbread House Extravaganza at Becker Library

Thursday Dec. 15, the Friends of the Becker Library hosted a gingerbread house making day. Girl Scout Troops 582 and 259 as well as other library users participated in the ninety-minute program. Each child was able to build their own gingerbread house out of graham crackers to take home. Read more »

Friends of the Upsala Public Library, together with Sytek Communications, hung new building signs for Great River Regional Library (GRRL) - Upsala on Dec. 8, 2011. Graphic designer Bernadette Stephenson from GRRL's communications and fund development department designed the signage including a QR code on the street level sign. Read more »

It was fitting that the first song harpist Andrea Stern played for an appreciative Royalton audience on Wednesday, Dec. 7 was "In the Bleak Midwinter" by Christina Rossetti. The early darkness, the lack of snow and the 70th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack had cast a somber pall on the day.
