As of today, Feb. 10, 2012, Penguin no longer offers additional copies of eBooks and eAudiobooks for library purchase. Penguin is terminating its contract with Overdrive, the company that provides materials for our Digital Library. This situation is beyond our control. Read more »
Central Minnesota Legal Services is now offering a free legal advice clinic at the St. Cloud Public Library to assist persons with matters of family and/or estate and probate law.
Advice clinics will be held on the fourth Tuesday of every month. All clinic sessions will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Read more »
On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Howard Lake Public Library is hosting a special Martha Speaks event for young readers ages 4-10 and their familes. Throughout 2011, staff at the Upsala Public Library collected a variety of educational toys for families who frequent the branch. From alphabet floor tiles to a ball cage to cardboard building blocks, toys are available for Upsala area kids who visit the library for books, movies and fun! Read more »

The Buffalo Public Library, as well as all the other 31 libraries in the Great River Regional Library system, benefit from the assistance of volunteers who help us give great customer service. Donna Stedje, who has been a volunteer for many years, is shown checking in items she has found on the Buffalo library shelves which are requested as "holds" at other libraries. Read more »
The library is now using an automated phone messaging system to notify patrons when their hold items are available. Previously, those calls were made by staff and volunteers. The automated calling system is routed through a remote phone line. This provides privacy regarding your reading selections and frees up the library’s phone line for incoming calls. Read more »
