St. Cloud Art Exhibit Honors Russian Poet

Make Star Wire Sculptures at Pierz Library
Artist Shayann Hoffer will present a Star Wire Sculptures workshop at the Pierz Public Library on Saturday, Dec. 8. Join us in a fun seasonal workshop creating wire star sculptures. Look for Preschool Story Time to return to the Becker Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 10:30 a.m. after a brief hiatus. There will be no Preschool Story time events on Dec. 18 and 25, nor on Jan. 1.

Learn to Quilt at the Belgrade Library
Learn to make a quilt from start to finish. Learn construction techniques for several traditional blocks, then assemble the blocks to make a table topper, wall hanging or larger quilt if desired. The class will also cover quilting and binding techniques. This class is designed for beginners, but every level quilter is invited to participate. This class will meet every Saturday from Jan. CSB Blazers Tennis Team Reads at Waite Park
Members of the College of Saint Benedict Blazers Tennis Team will be reading to children on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Waite Park library. The storytime from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. is the second of three by the team at the library. Read more »

Hopper Takes The Road to Albany
Retired teacher Kathy Davidson loves being around children, so she volunteers to read storytimes at the Albany Public Library. She recently volunteered to lead a Leap Into Reading storytime featuring stories about frogs and froggy crafts. Read more »
Visual Arts Minnesota Presents Solid Proposals at St. Cloud Library
This hands-on, one night workshop will focus on the ins and outs of developing, writing, and formatting proposals for individual artist funding opportunities in Minnesota and beyond. Hopper Gets Comfortable at Swanville
Hopper joined a whole daycare full of nine children who attended a Leap Into Reading storytime at the Swanville Public Library on Nov. 8. Hopper is the library's big, green, Leap Into Reading mascot. He especially loves stories about ponds and bugs and nature, and so do children. Read more »

Melrose Halloween Party!
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, the Melrose Public Library held its annual Halloween Party and Parade. Over 180 children participated in the parade down Main Street and approximately 400 children and parents attended the party where they enjoyed games, crafts, activities, stories and snacks. Read more »

Preschool Storytime Changes Beginning in January 2013
Preschool Story Time in St. Michael will be taking a 1-month hiatus in December. Beginning Jan. 7, 2013, Preschool Story Time for children ages 3-5 will shift to alternating Mondays with Toddler Time (for ages 18 months to 3 years). Read more »
