The Belgrade Public Library's "Building Blocks" Sampler Quilt Project begins Saturday, Jan. 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon! Inspired by book covers and titles of Earlene Fowler's Benni Harper mystery books, learn to make and combine basic quilt block elements - rail fence, nine patch, four patch, half square triangles and flying geese - into a sampler quilt. Enjoy an afternoon of holiday music at the Belgrade Public Library, performed by Paul Imholte, the musical stringman. Imholte sings and plays a dozen traditional instruments. His featured instrument is the hammered dulcimer. Join us Wednesday, Dec. 18 between 2:00 and 4:40 p.m. for this event. Browse the collection while listening, or sit and relax and enjoy the sounds. The last of the First Thursdays Legacy program series at St. Cloud Public Library is this Thursday, Dec. 5. We'll be welcoming the St. Boniface Church Bell Choir. They ring 4+ octaves of handbells and 5 octaves of hand chimes. The choir is celebrating their 16 season under the direction of Julie Ludwig. Read more »
