Becker Ends Winter Reading Program With Nook Prize
The Winter Reading Program for teens and adults officially ended on Saturday, Feb. 23. The Becker Public Library gave away a variety of prizes to program participants. Each week a special Winter Reading Program mug with coupons for a McDonald's coffee and a DQ Blizzard treat were given. At the end of the program, two lucky participants were awarded wonderful fleece blankets with the Winter Reading Program theme "Escape Into Reading" sewn on the corner.
This year, the Friends of the Becker Library purchased a Nook Glowlit eReader as the Becker library grand prize. The winner of the Nook was Pam Taylor. Congrats Pam!
The Becker Public Library had over 60 participants for the Winter Reading Program this year, with nearly 100 reading slips returned to the library. All slips will move onto St. Cloud for the chance at a regional grand prize of a Nook eReader device.
