Exciting Events happening at Becker Public Library
Becker Public Library has many exciting events happening for all ages the next several weeks.
The GREAT Theatre wraps up the month of April with their workshop based on the book, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney. The workshop explores creativity and self-expression through drama exploration, crafts and theater games. Thursday, April 28; 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Kicking off the month of May is the Cartoon Art Workshop. Participants will learn character and story outline development, comic drawing techniques and layout options to illustrate and author their own book. Please bring a short story or existing artwork to use for this class. Monday, May 2; 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Becker Library and the Becker Community Center are teaming up to present Touch-A-Truck. This event has it all: food, music, entertainment and a kids garage sale! Wendy Rose Baldinger and the Wiggle, Jiggle, Jam will be providing the musical entertainment. The fun starts at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14.
The Guthrie Theater wraps up the Becker Library line-up of events on May 19 with Acting Games. This workshop is perfect for those who have never tried acting before. The Guthrie Theater will show participants methods and tricks used by actors to get their creative juices flowing. Thursday, May 19; 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Many of the Becker Public Library events are funded by Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Please note that some events require registration and some have age limits.
