Gingerbread House Extravaganza at Becker Library

Thursday Dec. 15, the Friends of the Becker Library hosted a gingerbread house making day. Girl Scout Troops 582 and 259 as well as other library users participated in the ninety-minute program. Each child was able to build their own gingerbread house out of graham crackers to take home. Books such as "Gingerbread Houses: Baking and building memories" by Nonnie Cargas were available for inspiration.

"It was so much fun watching the kids use their creativity on each house," stated library staff member Jeannette Burkhardt. "We hope this will become an annual event at the Becker Library."
