Summer Reading Program off to a great start in Becker

Summer Reading Program off to a great start in Becker

The Becker Public Library hosted the Dancing Scientist on Tuesday, June 10 to a huge crowd of 176 kids from the Becker community. They watched as Jeffrey Vinokur danced, made air visible, changed colored water back to colorless water and made string that he pulled out of the beaker, as seen in the photo.
After watching the show, the kids rushed to check out science books of all kinds and sign up for the Summer Reading Program.
Watch the Becker Public Library webpage and Becker calendar for other fun and fabulous events taking place this summer.
Our next event will be presented by St. John's Outdoor University and is titled "Minnesota Tracks."  This event will be on Tuesday, June 24 and is for ages 3-12, limited to 25 participants. Registration is required.    Call the Becker library at 763-261-4454 or go online at griver.org/events to register.
There will be no regular Storytime at 10:30 a.m. that day.
