RIVER OF DOUBT Belgrade's book club choice of the month

On Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. the Belgrade R.E.A.D. book club will meet to discuss "River of Doubt" by Candice Millard.

A review of this book stated that if "River of Doubt" were required reading in school, more people would fall in love with history.  So true!

Flower Show at the Belgrade Library Thursday and Friday During Open Hours

Join us for our 4th annual flower show Thursday July 22 and Friday July 23 during open hours.  If you wish to display an arrangement,  container, or specimen please deliver it to the library July 22 between 8 and 10 a.m.  Patrons can register for door prizes and cool off with lemonade and treats.  Gardening books will be on display for checkout.

MAKE A SPLASH ACTIVITIES GALORE AT THE BELGRADE LIBRARY

June promises a lot of activity at the Belgrade Library. 

Saturday, June 19 the Guthrie presents Acting Games for Beginners  from 10:00 - 11:20 a.m. for 13 to 17 year olds.  The Guthrie's Duke it Out Intro to Stage Combat is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for ages 11 and up.

ERIC DREGNI, AUTHOR OF "IN COD WE TRUST," TO VISIT BELGRADE LIBRARY

Eric Dregni lived in Trondheim, Norway for a year as a fellowship recipient where he survived a dinner of "rakfisk" (fermented fish) and discovered his great-grandfather's house in Lusterfjord.  Eric will read excerpts from his comedic novel and show slides from his time in Norway on Tuesday, May 25, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Belgrade Public Library.

Homemade Jam is a folk/soul quartet that celebrates the diverse flavors of West Central Minnesota with a violin, accordion, mandolin and guitar. Stolen Innocence: Belgrade's Book Club selection for February

Join us on Friday, Feb. 12, 6:30 -7:30 p.m., at Belgrade's Myrtle Mabee Library for our monthly book club meeting.  "Stolen Innocence" by Elissa Wall is our book selection. It is the  true story of Wall's growing up in a polygamous sect, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a breakaway from the mainstream Mormon church.
