Anne Lamott Featured Author of Belgrade's February Book Club Selection
Plan B: Further thoughts on faith by Anne Lamott will be the topic of discussion at the next meeting of the R.E.A.D. Book Club on Friday evening, Feb. 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Belgrade Public Library - Myrtle Mabee Library.
Few people can write about faith, parenting, and relationships as can the talented, irreverent Anne Lamott. The essence of her faith she finds in the ability to open her heart in the midst of confusion and hopelessness. Faith is not about how we feel, she claims, it is about how we live.
Anne Lamott is the author of Grace (Eventually): Thoughts on faith, Traveling Mercies: Some thoughts on faith, and Operating Instructions: A journal of my son's first year, as well as seven novels, including Rosie and Crooked Little Heart. Soon to be released is Some Assembly Required: A journal of my son's first son, the true story of how the birth of a baby changes the family.
We welcome new members to the R.E.A.D. Book Club which meets the third Friday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments are provided. For more information call the library at 320.254.8842.
