Hopper Visits Buffalo By The Lake
Hopper the Frog visited with more than 20 children and their caregivers at a Leap Into Reading Storytime on Wednesday, April 25 in Buffalo. Branch Assistant Sarah Seeley had their undivided attention. Almost all of the children browsed the book bins after the storytime to take home picture books. Leap Into Reading is all about giving children an enjoyable experience centered on books to encourage an early reading habit.
The Children's Room at the Buffalo Public Library is part of the recent remodeling that expanded its usable space. As well as providing a space just for kids (with a popular built-in puppet theater), the library gained a tranquil reading room. The checkout desk was remodeled and new signage installed. The lakeside location has always been beautiful, and nowadays the interior matches.
