Book Bags and Summer Reading Program Activities in Cokato

Book Bags and Summer Reading Program Activities in Cokato

Cokato’s young patrons got ready for a summer of reading by creating book bags that will be sure to look great all season long while carrying (we hope) a heavy load of books. Thanks to the Cokato Friends group for providing the bags and paints!
Upcoming Summer Reading Program activities include story time every Wednesday from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m., when we’ll be learning about roots and seeds, and animals that live underground. We’ll also be digging up buried pirate treasure and digging through the trash for our “junk art” masterpieces.
We’ll be tie-dying, learning how to draw, and hosting an Underground Lunch Book Club featuring the book "Tunnels" by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams.
For more information on these events (and more!) keep an eye on the Cokato Public Library's web page; call us or stop in, you’ll be glad you did.
