3rd Annual Quilt Exhibit Warms the Delano Library
Escape the winter blues and join us at the Delano Library for a cozy quilt display during the month of February. The 30 quilts hanging all over the library highlight the creativity and artistry of each individual quilter. This handcrafted exhibit features both hand and machine quilting. The exquisite 3' x 3' quilt pictured titled Valentine's Day was machine stitched by Natalie Palmer in approximately 10 hours. Tuesday, Feb. 1 from 6 - 8 p.m. would be a perfect time to wander through the library and see the display during the show's open house. The Calico quilters, who organize and host this event for the library, will be available to answer your questions about the display or about quilting in general. The Delano Friends of the Library will be serving refreshments. You may even be inspired to take up this centuries old craft and create your own masterpieces.
