Delano Library Celebrates "Old Fashioned" Christmas
The library was one of many stops to celebrate an "Old Fashioned" Christmas in Delano on Saturday, December 4th. Activities at the library included making decorative felt holiday ornaments to hang on the library tree, viewing the youth art show and enjoying refreshments. The highlight of the day was a History of Carols concert by Pages of Music, which featured music and stories of the season. Musicians Rolf and Carrie performed original songs and traditional carols on the oboe and bass to ring in the holidays. Funds for this musical celebration were provided by the Legacy grant. At least 175 people wandered through the library to participate in the festivities. Celebrate the season and enjoy the art exhibit, which highlights students from Delano Middle and High schools, anytime in December at the library.
