DVDs at the Library

The library's DVD collection of domestic and foreign movies is superb, with selections for all ages and genres. It's a large collection best searched online. Some of the most recent purchases appear on the DVD - U.S. & Foreign Feature Films list which you'll find on the New, Best & Fun page, tabbed on top of the catalog.

Director Tim Burton's movie "Big Eyes" is on the list, with Amy Adams and Chris Waltz starring as the married artists each claiming credit for the popular paintings of big eyed children. Spanish movie "Living Is Easy With Eyes Closed" takes a Beatles lyric for its title. It's a road trip movie set in the time of Beatlemania, when an English teacher and two hitchhikers hit the road searching for freedom in Franco's repressed society. From Brazil, "Futuro Beach" is described as part gay romance, part inquisitive self-journey. A beach lifeguard rescues a German vacationer, then follows him back to Berlin.

These are great movies, but if they don't interest you, scan the list for other titles. You'll find something new to enjoy in the collection every week. Check the list and search the catalog for great video viewing from the library.
