Second 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Celebration

The Eagle Bend Friends of the Library hosted the second 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program celebration with seven children reaching the 1,000 book goal. A clown performance by Edwin Meyer kicked off the event which was attended by 31 children and 22 adults. Each 1,000 Book winner was presented with a certificate and a stuffed animal and matching book. All children attending the party received a balloon. Rick Hest (Friends president) and Barb Hest (Friends historian) helped host the event along with Branch Assistant Cathy Perish.
