Exciting Arts Programming Coming to GRRL in 2010

Great River Regional Library (GRRL) is getting ready to deliver exciting arts programming at all 32 branch libraries in 2010.

Get ready for workshops, author talks, musicians and performances from regionally and nationally known individuals and organizations including Twin Cities based theater groups and performers.

All this programming (and there will be plenty of it) is made possible through a dedicated, tax supported fund that can only be used for new arts and culture programs. The fund was created by the Legacy Amendment voters approved in 2008. GRRL will receive funds in the form of a grant from the state, and Director Kirsty Smith recently received notification the grant proposal she submitted was approved. Staff are now checking calendars and schedules to confirm plans and bookings. You’ll be amazed at what’s coming to your communities.

Look for publicity with more details later this fall about programs beginning in the new year!
