Grey Eagle Patron Is Blue Ribbon Reader
Tria Schenk from Grey Eagle was the blue ribbon prize winner in the Great River Regional Library summer drawing for free tickets to the Minnesota State Fair. Tria is photographed standing in between Grey Eagle Public Library Aide Isabella Lamusga and Branch Manager Jennifer Shattuck.
Tria was the winner of the Grey Eagle Public Library essay writing contest, answering the question: Why do you love to read? Her name was then put in with the names of winners from the 31 other library locations in which Great River Regional Library provides services. When her name was drawn, she won four free tickets to the Minnesota State Fair, a blue ribbon and a certificate. The Minnesota State Fair tickets were provided by CRPSLA, the Council of Regional Public Library System Administrators.
According to Shattuck, Tria is a library regular who reads “tons.” She said she has never been to the State Fair before.
