High $5 Campaign Ends with more than $14,000 Raised for Library Services
When all the donations were received and totaled for the March High $5 fundraising campaign, library supporters had donated $14,136.10 to support library services at Great River Regional Library (GRRL).
Twenty-two of the 32 branches in GRRL met a donations goal based on 2 percent of their March checkout sessions. All of those branches will receive 50 percent of the funds raised at their branch to meet local branch needs such as Summer Reading Program prize incentives, program performers, and furnishings. That amount will range from $28.50 in Royalton to $1,173 in St. Cloud for a total of $5,975. The remaining funds raised may be used for books, databases, or other system needs.
Clearwater had the highest overall response rate at 12.63 percent. Delano had the highest number of actual gifts, with 184. St. Cloud raised the highest dollar amount, totaling $2,346.75. Check out the gift number and value for your local branch here.
The High $5 campaign is an easy and inexpensive way for library users to show their support. $5 was initially chosen as the entry-level donation because users on average checked out five items per visit. You may show your support for library services by making a credit card donation at any time.
