Keep Up With GRRL Happenings in Currents Newsletter
A lot of good things happened for Great River Regional Library at the beginning of the year.
New library buildings opened in Pierz and Big Lake making both libraries more comfortable for users, expanding the shelf space so more materials are available for browsers, and improving facilities for programming.
The system improved its magazine selection, eliminating unnecessary duplication, discontinuing magazines that weren’t being used, and adding new titles on popular topics, includingCreative Knitting, Food and Wine, Golf Magazine, Gun Dog, Practical Homeschooling, and Women’s Health.
The Morgan Family Foundation, generous supporters of library services, provided a matching grant opportunity up to $100,000, giving other donors the opportunity to double their own donations to GRRL.
You can read about these things and more in the spring ’09 Currents, the library’s quarterly newsletter mailed to library supporters across the region, and available here online. Currents keeps you informed about GRRL.
