Audiobook "Hero On A Bicycle" by award-winning British author/illustrator Shirley Hughes is set in Florence during the WWII occupation by German forces. The central character is a thirteen-year-old boy swept up in the anti Nazi movement.
Audiobook "Garden Princess" by Kristin Kladstrup features a princess who knows something is wrong when she attends a garden party in an enchanted garden where all the flowers are blooming in October.
Audiobook "The Flame In The Mist" by Kit Grindstaff is a fantasy novel set in an imagined past with castles and crystals, and a red-headed heroine with a destiny "far greater and more dangerous than she could have imagined in her wildest fantasies."
