Kids' Nonfiction

Kids' Nonfiction

Who wouldn't want to know about the 100 Deadliest Things On The Planet? It's just one of the new juvenile books available at the library, and it's featured in the Kids' Nonfiction list on the New, Best & Fun page. The book includes the wolfsbane plant, events such as tsunamis, diseases such as smallpox, and scorpions, sharks and killer bees.
For those who may want something a little less anxiety inducing, there's also a new illustrated biography of Helen Keller titled Helen's Big World: The life of Helen Keller. And if you're a gardener who wants to get your children interested in gardening, try Outdoor Crafts: Lots of fun things to make and do outside; it's divided into three segments, Make It, Cook It, and Create It. The young scientist in the family may enjoy Eplore Flight, which presents the history of human flight and includes projects to demonstrate aeronautic science.
The Kids' Nonfiction list always includes a nice variety of subject matter and great books for young readers. So check it out!
