You don't need to have lived a long life to make your mark. A recently published biography titled "I Am Malala: How one girl stood up for education and changed the world" is the story of a young life already celebrated for its bravery. A young Pakistani, she was shot by terrorists when she stood up for her right to be educated. Her biography is just one of the great Kids Nonfiction books on the library's New, Best & Fun list.

For history lovers, there's a book titled "I Wonder Why Romans Wore Togas And Other Questions About Ancient Rome." To encourage understanding of and interest in the English Language, Brian P. Cleary has written "A Bat Cannot Bat, A Stair Cannot Stare: More about homonyms and homophones." There's a new book about Mako Sharks, and another about the Pteranodon.
