Kimball Library Sparkles
Kimball’s National Honor Society adopted the library as one of their service projects this school year. On December 29, ten students arrived at the library ready to work. They removed books from the library shelves and dusted before returning the materials to their clean home. The walls above the bookshelves and every flat surface were dusted in less than two hours, leaving the library sparkling clean.
The National Honor Society organizes and completes a variety of service projects throughout the year. This fall they cleaned road ditches and raked lawns. In the spring they will collect food for the local food shelf and sponsor a seventh- and eighth-grade dance. To raise money for the boys and girls basketball teams, they preside over a Half Time Shoot Out, which allows fans to purchase chances to win cash. To raise funds for their organization, a delicious spaghetti dinner is planned January 12, at the High School.
