Local Artist Displays Watercolor Re-creations Of Historic Paynesville Locations
Artist Karen Reede's watercolor paintings of historic Paynesville buildings, re-created with the help of vintage photographs supplied by the Paynesville Historical Society, and in honor of Paynesville's Sesquicentennial, are currently on display at the Paynesville Public Library. Included are paintings of a local church, the 'Applegren Mill,' and the "Hotel Russell." The latter building, now serving as an apartment building, still stands, and is located next door to the Paynesville Public Library.
