New members and officers elected to GRRL Board of Trustees
New board officers and members have been elected to the Board of Trustees governing the affairs of Great River Regional Library, which provides library services at 32 public libraries in Central Minnesota.
Louise Kuester (pictured) is the newly elected president of the board. She is a Sherburne County citizen member from Elk River.
Gerry Ruda was elected vice president. He is a Todd County commissioner from Long Prairie.
Earl Dierks, Wright County citizen member from Maple Lake was appointed to fill the vacant Wright County opening on the Executive Committee.
New members are Jim Shovelain and Jeannette Bineham. Shovelain is a Wright County citizen member from St. Michael. He is retired as an accountant after 36 years with Xcel Energy. Bineham is a Stearns County citizen member from St. Cloud. She was executive director of ReachUp/Headstart and is now an organization and business consultant.
The 15-member Board of Trustees is comprised of representatives from each of the six member counties: Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright. Each county has one elected commissioner and additional appointed citizen representatives who serve on the Board.
