All branches close at 5pm for Independence Day Eve, July 3
New at your Library
You may know your library has nearly 1 million items, distributed throughout 32 branch locations. But how do you know what’s new? Your local branch has only a portion of what the library system owns, and many of the new books, DVDs, etc. are checked out.
Well, you can find new additions to the library’s collection by using our New, Best & Fun lists.
If you enjoy listening to books, check out our New Audiobooks list. If you want something to brighten your day, maybe you’ll enjoy Earth (the audiobook): A visitor’s guide to the human race written and read by The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart.
If you enjoy mysteries, and particularly if you’ve sampled some of the Scandinavian fiction currently enjoying great success, you may want to try Three Seconds byAnders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom, the story of a Swedish police undercover agent.
Or if you are ready for something a bit more thought provoking and grounded in reality, perhaps try The Memory Palace by Mira Bartok. Bartok is an artist and author of children’s books. Her book is about her reconciliation with her schizophrenic, elderly and homeless mother. The Publishers Weekly starred review described it as a moving, compassionately candid memoir.
Check out our audiobooks, they’re well worth listening to.
