Paynesville Branch Kids' Playhouse Gets Facelift

With funds and assistance from the Friends Of The Paynesville Public Library and library preschool story hour participants, the much-loved playhouse at the Paynesville branch recently got a cheery new interior paint job. With instructions and help from Friends president Molly Zimmerman, children used their thumb, palm and fingerprints to paint fantasy creatures on the inside walls.
The Friends also arranged for reupholstering the kid-sized sofa. It's back in place, fuzzier and more colorful than ever and just as comfy. It's a perfect spot for kids to read through a book. Mom and dad are invited, too, but are reminded to watch their heads as they come through the door!
The playhouse was built and donated by Wayne and Pat Hansen of Paynesville in 2003.
