Cabin Fever? Paynesville Library Has The Cure!
Have you been snowed in for too long?
It's warming up and the snow is melting, and we've missed you! We've got fun and free programs at the Paynesville Public Library, just in time to rescue our snow-bound library patrons.
For the cooped-up preschoolers, "Ocean Fun" story time on Wednesday, March 12 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. will feature stories of the salty seas (complete with beaches, and even some sunshine). Thursday, March 13, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., for those 16 and up, the always-popular Jen Anfinson will lead a hands-on class called "Upcycled Book Creations", in which participants will learn the artful basics of book redesign! Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m. (for those in the family who won't be scared off!) we'll have a visit from author Chad Lewis who will present "Minnesota's Most Haunted Locations." This program takes the audience on a ghostly journey to some of the most haunted places in Minnesota. It covers the entire state from Wandering Ghosts in the North Woods to the Haunted B&B in Wabasha. From phantom creatures prowling the woods to graveyard apparitions located in your own backyard, no place in Minnesota is without its own haunting. Complete with photos, case history, eyewitness accounts, ghost lore, and directions, this unique presentation encourages you to visit these places for your own ghost story. To register for these programs, click on the links above, or call the library at 320.243.7343 (or stop in during open hours, and we'll sign you up).
