Great River Regional Library Online: This Library is Available 24/7
It's 9:30 p.m. on a Sunday night, and you just realized you forgot to pick up a new audio book for your Monday morning commute. Or, you're in the middle of a minor car repair when you discover you need more information to finish the job. And then there's Junior's report on chimpanzees that's due in the morning, and he needs more information before he can finish writing.
Don't panic! Great River Regional Library (GRRL) is as close as the Internet computer in your home. Grab your library card, log onto www.griver.org, and in a few clicks, you'll have what you need. Sign up for a free account and check out the selection of downloadable audiobooks at Netlibrary and you can start downloading a book to your iPod or MP3 player for your next commute in minutes. Next, click on "Databases" in the left-hand menu on our homepage and scroll down the page to click on the Chilton's Library: Select your car's year, make and model to find the car repair info you need. Click back to the Databases page, scroll down and select "Infotrac Student Edition," then type "Chimpanzee" in the search box at the top of the page: Look at that! "Chuckling Chimps" from the October 2009 edition of Science World magazine looks like just what Junior needs!
