October brings Fall activities to Paynesville Branch

With the changing of the leaves, the Paynesville Public Library changes from Summer Reading to Fall Fun.
Our monthly preschool story hour sessions are already on their second month. Songs, stories, and crafts highlight these programs designed for children 0-5. The next session is Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. Preschoolers will get together this month to explore and celebrate autumn colors (and mom & dad are invited, too!). We've still got room for more at this monthly event, so preregister your child online, or call the library at 320.243.7343, and join the fun!
All Paynesville Elementary School first-grade classes visited and toured the library Oct. 7, as they have every year since 1997. Those who didn't already have a library card (many do!) got a start on getting one, and they all went home with a color sheet, a word find, our open hours bookmark, and a neon super-bouncy ball, just for fun.
Fall decorations are going up, as is a "Horror-able" Halloween reading display. Watch for another drawing for a nifty Halloween prize, too: You must bring your library card to enter!
