Paynesville "Fun Thursdays" Feature A Global Theme

"Fun Thursdays" are back at the Paynesville library, and this year, kids will sample cultures from around the world.

Seven programs, Thursday afternoons beginning June 16, will feature Japanese Folk Art,  and the crafts, people and traditions of Mexico, Asia and Africa, among others. The kickoff event  is "One World, Many Stories," an interactive music play presented by GREAT Theatre Company, and it will be presented June 16 at the Great River Regional Library Paynesville location beginning at 3:30 p.m. No preregistration is required for this program geared towards 3- to 12-year-olds, but many of the programs do require preregistration. Check here for more information, and to register for other Fun Thursdays events. Stop in to the library during open hours to register for the Summer Library Program, and don't miss our "One World, Many Stories" display (pictured).

Some of these Fun Thursdays programs were funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
