Two Nights Of Great Legacy Programs In Paynesville The First Week In May

Minnesota author Lorna Landvik, author of Tall Pine Polka, Angry Housewives Eating Bon-Bons, and other popular titles, will visit the Paynesville Public Library Thursday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m. She'll talk about her books, answer questions and autograph books. Landvik, who is an actress and stand-up comic in addition to being an author, is an entertaining and humorous presenter. Register here to attend this event.

Minneapolis jazz singer Rhonda Laurie will present "Happy Days Are Here Again" at the Paynesville High School Auditorium on Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m. Accompanied by a bass, guitar and clarinetist, Laurie will sing popular favorites from the WWII era, including "(Somewhere) Over The Rainbow," "I Got Rhythm," "Sentimental Journey," and, of course, "Happy Days Are Here Again!"  No admission will be charged for this event. No preregistration is required. For more information, call the library at 320.243.7343 during open hours.
