RU up 4 Read Dating?

On Thursday, Oct. 29, the MLA is hosting a "Read Dating" event at Spill the Wine, a Minneapolis restaurant. It's like speed-dating, only using books to help break the ice with other like-minded dateable bibliophiles.

The evening will begin with a mixer, in which people can mingle while asking bookish questions. The second round will be timed one-on-one conversations about favorite books. And at the end of the night, Heloise may meet her Abelard, Romeo his Juliet (we hope with happier results).

Single men and women are invited. Bring a book. Cost for the reading public is $30 and registration closes Friday, Oct. 23.
