First Thursdays at St. Cloud
Celebrate National Poetry Month with Larry Schug, local poet, author and McKnight Artist Fellow, on Thursday April 4 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Mississippi Community Room at St. Cloud Public Library. Larry's poetry includes his books: "Scales Out of Balance," "Caution: Thin Ice," "The Turning of Wheels," and "Obsessed with Mud." His poetry has been published in Main Channel Voices, California Quarterly and many other small press publications. Larry is recently retired from the College of St. Benedict where he was the Recycling Coordinator for over 30 years, but it is poetry that has fed his spirit. As Larry says, "I live in the best of both worlds as I like physical labor and working outdoors and still get to be a poet."
First Thursdays is a series of free arts events held at the St. Cloud Public Library the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Mississippi Community Room.
