Holocaust War Crime Trial Clerk Talks April 11
Larry Tillemans, a clerk during the Nuremberg War Crime Trials, will speak about his WWII experience on Wednesday, April 11, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., in the Mississippi Room at the St. Cloud Public Library. This talk is free and open to the public.
Tillemans was assigned to the Third Army in Munich, Germany, 1945-46, to type transcripts at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials and the Dachau Tribunal. He was present Oct. 1, 1946 when the International Military Tribunal announced their verdicts, acquitting three defendants, sentencing six to prison terms, and condemning twelve to death.
