The lighting scheme for the St. Cloud Public Library is featured in "Light Done Right," the cover story in the Fall, 2009, Library By Design publication. Focus of the story is ways in which state of the art lighting is not only energy efficient, but also environmentally sound. A cutline accompanying a large photograph of the library explains that its design minimizes the amount of light directed at the sky.
