This is the last week to experience the Anne Frank traveling exhibit in the Teen Area of the St. Cloud Public Library. Besides using precise word choices, we’ll look at the rhythm of how they’re put together using examples using a variety of writers known for languid descriptions, snappy dialogue or staccato sentences. Twin brothers Joe and John Gindele provide a humorous look back at their childhood in New York City's Upper East Side in the 1940s-1950s. After high school they moved to Minnesota where they attained degrees and began lengthy teaching careers. But they have fond memories of the ethnic neighborhood in which they grew up. Read more »
