St. Michael Opens New Library In Spacious Shared Facility

If you’re in the neighborhood (shopping at the Albertville mall perhaps) take a short detour to visit the new St. Michael Public Library open in its new facility at 11800 Town Center Drive NE, St. Michael, on Friday, Dec. 3.
The new building also includes City Hall and a senior center. The library has approximately three times the space of the old library, including two study rooms within the library space. Library staff will have access to building conference rooms for programming. The large council chambers with its adjoining catering kitchen will also be available to the library for special events. The improved children’s space includes custom-built furniture and reading nooks.
You can see it all at the grand opening celebration on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by kids activities, building tours and a concert by the award-winning a cappella group InPulse 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Later in the day, 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., hometown favorite Rusty’s Rockin’ Jamboree will be back with his fun music and humor. Rusty will entertain all ages with old favorites and new in the library’s programming room.
