Blue Ribbon Baker Marjorie Johnson visits St. Michael Library
Marjorie Johnson, Blue Ribbon Baker and frequent guest on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, visited the St. Michael Public Library on Tuesday, June 7. Her appearance was a joint presentation from the Friends of the Library and the Crow River Senior Center.
The pint-sized baking dynamo got her start baking for the Minnesota State Fair and entering Pillsbury Bake-Offs, winning in 1973. She offered recollections of her past cooking and baking career and how she got her start in show business. She signed her cookbook, The Road to Blue Ribbon Baking and posed for photographs with the audience.
Johnson has made several television and radio appearances on the Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Wayne Brady Show, and of course she's one of Jay Leno's favorite guests on the Tonight Show.
