Night Light Story Time Kicks Off in St. Michael
Night Light Story Time kicked off its first evening of stories on Thursday, Jan. 31 at the St. Michael Public Library. Volunteer reader Joyce Nelson donned her robe and slippers, and the kids were encouraged to bring their blankets and wear their pajamas to enjoy some night time stories. The library will share Night Light Story Time on the last Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. through May. After a break in the summer, Night Light Story Time will resume again in September.
"We've been wanting to do an evening story time for such a long time," said Marla Scherber, Branch Manager. "When we shifted our Preschool Story Time from Wednesday to Monday mornings, we adjusted our staff and volunteer schedule to make the Night Light Story Time possible." Teddy bears, pajamas and blankets are encouraged. The stories will be geared to preschoolers and early elementary age children and their parents. No registration will be required.
