St. Michael Branch Gearing Up for Move
The St. Michael branch of the Great River Regional Library is gearing up for its upcoming move at the end of the month. Old and duplicate books are being weeded and the staff is preparing to box up supplies and other items. Tentative plans to move mid-November were changed because the installation of the shelving would not be completed in time. The new move timeline requires the library to be closed November 29-December 2.
During the closed period, the library’s book drop at the current location will be closed and it will not be possible to return items to the library. Due dates will be suspended for the period the library is closed in between vacating the old building and opening in the new building.
The new location will be across the street at the new St. Michael City Center located at 11800 Town Center Drive in St. Michael, opening on Friday, December 3, with a Grand Opening set for December 11.
