St. Michael Leaps Into Reading with Hopper

St. Michael Leaps Into Reading with Hopper

A group of about 15 children and numerous parents attended a Leap Into Reading Storytime at the St. Michael Public Library on Wednesday, May 30. They all listened attentively while volunteer Joyce Nelson read several books to the group including Jump, Frog, Jump! by Robert Kalan, Leap Back Home To Me by Lauren Thompson, and Froggy Builds A Tree House by Jonathan London.
Afterwards, the children made froggy paper bag glove puppets and frog pond snacks. One little boy sat and chatted with Hopper, Great River Regional Library's Leap Into Reading mascot.
"What do you think of it so far?" the boy asked.
"Ribbit," Hopper answered.
"Got any plans for the summer?"
"Ribbit."
And so it went.
