St. Michael Libary Celebrates Grand Opening
The St. Michael Library, along with the Crow River Senior Center and the St. Michael city hall celebrated its Grand Opening on Saturday, March 26 with events and entertainment in nearly every corner of the building. Local favorite, Rusty's Rockin' Jamboree drew a large crowd in the Gries and Lenhardt programming room and so did the Divas through the Decades (pictured) performance which was held in the building's Council Chambers. Also joining in the fun was Gonzo the Clown who made balloon animals and hats for the numerous kids in the library who were delighted by his antics. Ribbon cutting was done in groups, so many individuals and organizations were involved in successful completion of the building. After the initial Grand Opening was delayed due to the December 11 blizzard, the rescheduled spring celebration was celebrated under blue skies.
