Book Clubs Provide Interesting Reading for Adults

The Staples Book Club for Adults meets the fourth Thursday of each month, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. and is led by Branch Assistant Bev Anderson. In November the club discussed the historical fiction book The Blue Orchard by Jackson Taylor. On Dec. 22 they will share their thoughts on the book The River Of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's darkest journery by Candice Millard. This is an active group of avid readers: lots of discussion, tons of laughter. It's a great opportunity to explore books people might not otherwise encounter.
Book clubs meet at many of the Great River Regional Library locations, and Book Club Kits are available for checkout; try a General Keyword search of the catalog for Book Club Kits to see the extensive list. You can even start your own book club, if you like. Join a library book club if you're looking for new books and a good time at the library!
